A team of specialists from CERB, led by Eng. Martin Chervenkov, has successfully completed a full stator rewinding project for a 68 MW turbogenerator in Germany. Work on the site commenced on June 6, and final testing of the completed stator was concluded on June 27. The equipment has passed all necessary inspections and is now prepared for final installation.
The task was undertaken amidst significant delays caused by a previous contractor on-site. To recover the schedule and ensure the equipment’s reliable operation, the CERB team mobilized additional resources and worked in an exceptionally intensive mode.
Over the course of 21 days, the company’s specialists worked around the clock with clearly defined tasks and continuous quality control. The connection with the German partner was established through a long-standing partner of CERB from Turkey—a renowned manufacturer of coils. Following an inquiry regarding a specific installation, the Turkish partners recommended CERB as a team capable of meeting the challenge within the tight deadlines.
“Working with partners of Bilfinger’s caliber requires not only excellent technical preparation but also rigorous analytical work before the project even begins. In such situations, there is no room for improvisation. One must react quickly, but without any compromise on quality. I believe that with this project, we have demonstrated that a Bulgarian team can meet the highest European standards, even under extreme time pressure,” commented Eng. Martin Chervenkov.
The successful execution led to a direct invitation for new engagements within the year. Given CERB’s high workload, the start of the next joint activity is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
