During an official visit, H.E. Arun Kumar Sahu held a strategic meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CERB, Dimitar Beleliev, PhD, and the Vice Chairman, Ivan Zhelyazkov, PhD. The diplomat was briefed in detail on the plant’s technological capabilities, and together with the management, outlined concrete steps for deepening industrial cooperation within the context of the company’s large-scale operations in Eastern Europe.
A leading priority of the discussion was India’s role as a strategic source of specialized components and highly qualified engineering talent. It was emphasized that integrating supplies from Indian manufacturers into CERB’s operational processes would optimize production costs and ensure corporate resilience amid global supply chain instability. In addition to material procurement, the participants explored the benefits of attracting Indian engineers and technical specialists, whose experience in large-scale energy projects represents a valuable asset for the Sofia-based facility.
Despite the noted administrative challenges regarding labor mobility, H.E. Arun Kumar Sahu expressed readiness for diplomatic assistance. He highlighted that the Indian Embassy could provide direct support in facilitating the recruitment and integration of specialists based on specific business needs.
The meeting concluded with a review of ongoing international projects, reaffirming the shared vision that the potential synergy between India’s manufacturing and human capital and CERB’s engineering expertise holds significant promise. The realization of such a partnership could serve as a strategic lever for expanding the company’s presence in the global energy market, depending on the administrative framework and market dynamics.
